Flappers in the 1920's wore knee
length dresses which allowed them to move easily while performing the
Charleston. Often these dresses were adorned with fringes and beads.
Flappers often listened to jazz went to clubs and drank alcohol. These
women were often considered liberated and did not conform to social
norms earning them the nickname “flapper.”
