Plants would not be able to produce oxygen or glucose and this would cause the plant to die.

6 molecules of carbon dioxide and 6 molecules of water react with sunlight to form 1 single glucose molecule and six oxygen molecules and the role of water is to release oxygen from the water molecule into the atmosphere in the form of oxygen gas.
