so : |x|= -x

replace it in the expression

[tex]\frac{-x}{x+1}[/tex]

so :

[tex]\lim_{x \to \-infty} \frac{-x}{x+1}[/tex]= limx⇒-∞( -x/x)   you take the terms with the highest degree

so limx⇒-∞ (-x/x)  = -1
