describe the similarities between enzymes and membrane receptors

Enzymes are types of proteins that are biological catalysts.  Some membrane receptors are also proteins.  Hence the similarity between enzymes and membrane receptors is that they are both made up of amino acid chains, (i.e. they are both made up of proteins).
