Farming and agricultural production allowed people to settle in one area, instead of being nomadic. Once humans were able to successfully produce food without relying on the killing of animals and by grazing in a nomadic lifestyle they were able to decide to stay in one place. This was an enormous development and allowed for humans to begin another step of the process that helped human achieve all that it has achieved to date.
