the answer is 15 feet 7 inches :)

1 foot = 12 inches

so

6 feet + 8 feet = 14 feet

10 inches + 9 inches = 19 inches

19 inches = 1 foot 7 inches

14 feet + 19 inches = 15 feet 7 inches
