Wells and her positions regarding racial segregation and racism faced by blacks, we can say that she supported the Du Bois' ideas. This was because she defended the rights of blacks to assume leadership positions in society and to seek academic growth, so that they would be able to promote transformations in society favorable to blacks. This idea was also supported by Du Bois, but not by Washington.
