To diagnose a patient with degenerative disc disease the diagnosis will look at disc desiccation, spinal stenosis foraminal stenosis, and facet joint arthropathy. Additionally, if any area of the spinal cord is showing compression, degenerative disc disease is likely the starting culprit.
