x+y+40=180

x+y=140

difference between  x and y is 30.

x−y=30 (2)

2x=170

⇒x=85

Substitute this value n equation (2), we get

85−y=30

⇒y=85−30

⇒y=55

angles of a triangle are x=85, y=55 and 40.
