The sum of a number and 9 is multiplied by -2 and the answer is -8

(x+9) * -2=-8 so ..... -2x-18=-8 since all digits are negative i can multiply all the digits by -1 so... 2x+18=8 divide equation by 2 x+9=4 so x is equal to -5
