Answer: A human and animal both have a natural instinct for finding a sufficient home. Both species have needs that must be met for it to be an applicable habitat, in order for them to survive. They look for a safe environment. Also, like humans if they have children, they look for the best place to raise and protect them, placing their young's needs before their own.
