Answer:

Normally when graphing you will have an equation that looks like this: y=mx+b. b is your intercept and m is your slope. If your equation is y=1/2x+5 you would plot the point (0,5) and for the next point move up 1 and left 2. If it were to be y=-3x-6, you would plot the point (0,-6) and for the next point move down 3 (because it is negative) right 1.
