Answer:  200 miles

Work Shown:

(1.25 inches)/(250 miles) = (1 inch)/(x miles)

(1.25)/(250) = 1/x

1.25x = 250*1 ..... cross multiplication

1.25x = 250

x = 250/(1.25)

x = 200 miles
