Spartans were born and raised differently from the Athenians. Athenians were more based upon knowledge and the Spartans were based on war. Literally Spartans were forced to fight and hunt for themselves at very young ages. IF there were any defects on a Spartan, he would be killed immediately, Athenians were more lenient on defects.
