you have a small error. beneath your radical, you're supposed to calculate b² - 4ac -- in this case, it would be (-7)² - 4(4)(2).

49 is correct, but the - 12 part is not. 4*4*2 = 32, not 12.

your radical should read √(49 - 32), which simplifies to √17. 17 is a prime number, so it can't be simplified any further.

your answer is correct, so long as you fix that part of your work and change the "37" beneath your root to a "17"!!
