A floor is 40 m long and 15 m broad. It is covered with tiles, each measuring 60 cm by 50 cm. Find the number of tiles required to cover the floor.

area of the floor divided by the area of one tile

area of a rectangle is length*width

so it's 40*15= 600

area of tile is 0.6m*0.5m = 0.3
