What is the multiplicative rate of change for the exponential function f(x) = 2()–x?

For the answer to the question above asking what is the multiplicative rate of change for the exponential function f(x) = 2()–x?I think the answer is 2/5 = .4 because of the negative in the exponent, it is 0.4
