Manifest destiny was a belief held my many Americans in the 19th century. It originated from Americans desire to conquer the west and spread their power and influence o'er the world. Hint Manifest Destiny- which Americans believed that it was their destiny to.spread across the Pacific ocean and establish their supremacy. The belief many Americans had of Manifest Destiny led to struggles with the Native Americans and even a Mexican war.
