What is the best estimate for 5 1/9 - 1 5/6? Explain how you found your estimate.

5 wholes of 9 is 45 so 46/9
1 whole of 6 is 6 so 11/6 
then multiply 46/9 by 2 to get 92/18
multiply 11/6 by 3 to get 33/18

92-33=59

your answer is 59/18
