Number 1: Solve the exponents first. 3 cubed is 27. Divide 27 by 9 which is 3. You're left with the last part, subtraction, by doing 10 - 3 = 7
Answer: 7
Number 2: Solve the exponents first. 2 squared is 4. Multiply 7 x 5 which equals 35. 35 - 4 = 31
Answer: 31
