A function, such  is a mathematical collection of algebraic terms. Functions can be reflected across the x-axis by multiplying the entire function by -1. In this case multiplying the function  by -1 leads to -4x/2. Hence the new function is -4x/2. Functions can also be reflected in the y-axis by replacing x with -x.
