Digested food materials are absorbed into the body system at the small intestine. The undigested and un-absorbed food materials are then transported into the large intestines where they are concentrated in readiness for removal from the body.The concentrated materials are then passed in form of feaces into the rectum where they are stored until they are expelled from the body through the anus.
