The four types of land formations are:
- mountains (formed when there is movement in the earths crust)
- plains (low lying area of land ranging from 160 metres above sea level to many metres below sea level)
- plateaus (landform that has a plain crest area. They can be formed by lava, water, erosion and wind.
- valleys (erosional landform that is commonly found in mountainous region)
