distance = Sqrt((x2-x1)^2 +(y2-y1)^2)

15-3 =12

16-7=9

12^2 = 144

9^2 = 81

144+81 = 225

square root of 225 = 15

 the distance is 15

Use the distance formula: [tex]distance = \sqrt{(x_2 - x_1)^2 + (y_2 - y_1)^2}[/tex]

[tex]\sqrt{(15 - 3)^2 + (16 - 7)^2} \\ \\ \sqrt{12^2 + 9^2} \\ \\ \sqrt{144 + 81} \\ \\ \sqrt{225} \\ \\ 15[/tex]

So, 15 units is the answer.
