Regroup terms

Add 2x to both sides 

Simplify 4 - x + 2x to 4 + x

subtract 4 from both sides

subtract -6 - 4.

Answer: x = -10

-x+4 = -2x-6

add 6 to each side:

-x+10 = -2x

add 1x to each side

10 = -x

divide each side by -1

x = -10
