what we need to know here is what the relationship between a square foot and a square inch is.

one food is 12 inches. One square food would be 12*12=144 inches

so to find out what the pressure on each square inch is, we have to multiply the pressure on square pount (64) by number of square inches:

[tex] \frac{64}{144} =0.4444[/tex]
