The Australian ballot is another name for a secret ballot.
Australian ballot, is known as the secret ballot as well, since Victoria and South Australia were the first states to introduce secrecy of the ballot. That is the reason the secret ballot is also called Australian ballot. This constitutes a system of voting in which voters mark their choices in privacy on uniform ballots printed and distributed by the government or they choose their candidates by some other secret means.
