Charity Organization Movement (cos)- gave assistance to the poor, Social Gospel Movement- Urban churches began to provided social services to the poor. They sought to apply the gospel of Jesus directly to society. Settlement Movement- young reforms settled into a house in the midst of a poor neighborhood. From this settlement house (community center) they eventually offered social services.
