Affiliation needs refer to the psychological needs that individuals have to obtain a sense of belonging to a certain group.
Ostracism, on the other hand, refers to actions that either  consciously or unconsciously  exclude someone from a group based on a certain difference  (for example, excluding someone from the group because of the race)
