To begin you have to find the midpoint of the side with (2,4) and (-4,2) as vertexes. [ 2 + -4 ] / 2, [ 2 + 4 ] / 2 ) = (-1, 3) Then you have to find the point 2/3 of the distance from (0,-2) to (-1,3) = (0 + (-1 - 0) (2/3) , -2 + ( 3 - -2)(2/3) ) ( 0 - 2/3, -2 + (5)(2/3) ) (-2/3, -2 +10/3 ) The coordinates of the centriod of a triangle are (-2/3 , 4/3 )
