The ratio of the length to width of a picture is 5:2 the picture is enlarged so that it’s length is 15 inches now what is the width of the enlarged picture

Use a proportion.

5:2 = 15:x

5/2 = 15/x

5x = 2 * 15

5x = 30

x = 6

Answer: 6 inches
