Can 27:6 be simplified

Divide each number by three. The new answer is 9:2

Yes it can. All you have to do is a find a factor of both the numbers 27 &6 both have a factor of three so all you do is divide both the numbers by the factor (which in our case is 3) and then put the answers in replace of each number . Like so 9:2 Hope this helps
