The initial population of atown is 3500 and it grows with a doubling time of 12 years. Determine how long it will take for the population to quadruple.

after 12 years
3500 * 2 = 7000

after 24 years
7000 * 2 = 14000

14000 : 3500 = 4
so the answer is 24 years
