British officials may find the Indian point of view unpalatable because the revenues that the East Indian Company (EIC) officials collected were being sent back to Britain which left the Indians with no way to fund their judicial system. This would lead to bad reputation for the British. And what’s worse is that EIC officials were making fortunes of that system.
