Answer is 2 1/2

x^1 - x^-1 + x^0

x = 2 (Plug the numbers in)

2^1 - 2^-1 + 2^0

x^1 = 2

x^-1 = 0.5

x^0 = 1

2 - 0.5 + 1

= 2 1/2
