in physics, why does a leave appears green to the eye of the observer?

A leave appears green to the eye of the observer because there are green pigment (chlorophyll)in the leaf. so when white light falls on it. it absorbs all the components of the white light and reflect the green to the observer. that makes It appear green to the observer.
